Harry Potter- J.K. Rowling
Excellent – I’m sure you know about these; They’re about a boy wizard that goes to a school for magic.
A Series of Unfortunate Events- Lemony Snicket
Haven’t read but heard that this is really good
Sisters Grimm series- Michael Buckley
Quite good. Read it a while ago and can’t really remember but it’s got something to do with fairy tales.
Ranger’s Apprentice series- John Flanagan
Read the first 2 and both really awesome – about a boy who is training to become a ranger and learns to shoot bow and arrows, ride horses and move unseen.
Artemis Fowl series- Eoin Colfer
Haven’t read but heard that they are really good
Septimus Heap series- Angie Sage
Read the 1st and really good. It has a bit of magic in, but not as much as Harry Potter.
The Hobbit- J.R.R. Tolkien
Okay but I got a bit bored in some parts
Richard Adams’ Watership Down
Haven’t read myself but my mum read and said it was good. I think it’s about rabbits.
Books by Tamora Pierce
Just starting the ‘immortals’ 1st book (wild magic) and is good so far.
I’m a 5′-10.5″ versatile volleyball player from Katy, TX. I play for Seven Lakes High School and the Texas Tornados Volleyball Club. As the evening events were coming to a close at the annual Seven Lakes High School theater department funds raiser, one would think how could it be any better. Well it did when Mr. Caulks auctioned off the final composition to be conducted by the lucky winner. Bids were coming from all over the audience but one very persistent mother stayed in all the way till the end, winning the right to lead the orchestra. Up stepped Pablo, her 8th grade son with Down Syndrome. Not a worry in the world of what others may think. He conducted fearlessly as the audience watched on. His mother not only blessed her son but all who shared in the experience. What a joy to witness.
