Archive for December, 2009I’m a starter and I’m buying a bike now so i need to know what to get. I’m planning to do some small jumps of benches probably no higher and then just some 360′s 180′s after i learn them. So what bike should i get for this because i always hear BMX is for dirt riding while I am going to do this on asphalt.
Technically, bmx is referring to dirt track racing, and there is a LOT of difference between those bikes and ones meant for freestyle (park or street) riding. The track bikes are light weight and meant for speed and agility….not bombproof durability for jumps and abuse.
So that’s just "technically" speaking…..pretty much everyone just calls bmx "bmx" and most of them mean park/street riding. There are also "flatland" bikes which are special bmx bikes for ground tricks….dancing with your bike. You can do flatland on almost any bike, but they do make special setups for it if you really are into it.
95% of the "BMX" bikes sold will be right for what you want to do. My advice would be to start with a lower price entry-level bike to see how much you like it…..then look for a better bike when you’re ready, or when you start to break or wear out parts. You can get into a decent park bike for $200 to $300 easy. If you go too much cheaper than that, it’ll weigh a lot and won’t have very durable wheels on it, and you definitely need strong wheels for the aerials.

what are you talking about? Thats all the bears have is deep ball threats. Muhammad isn’t he is a posession reciever, but between berrian, bradely, davis and now hester thats all they can do is go long. secondly, the bears recievers are wya better than philly’s, don’t just say stuff watch a game and then answer the question.
There is this guy that liked me like two years ago but i didn’t like him when he tried to talk to me so I pushed him away. Well last year I saw him at my high school football game and realized how cute he was so I decide to talk to him again. This time we both liked each other so but before we got together he started telling lies to me and about me and I went around talking to everyone that knew him and telling his business because he made me mad. Need less to say he found another girl. Still we attempted to stay friends and I became his go-to-girl whenever he was having relationship issues. However, his then girlfriend became my friend after they broke up and told me how he said I was crazy and he NEVER liked me (even though he tried to get at me twice, three times if i count when he was WITH her). At this point I still liked him but decided that I didn’t need him in my life as a friend or other wise so I stopped talking to him all together and wrote a song about our time spent as a way to heal.
That was seven months ago, and though I saw him and his then girlfriend at my high school graduation, I have not talked to him in the past seven months. Now he has decided to re-add me on myspace and has IM-ed me and gave me his cell number so I could text him. At first I wasn’t going to talk to him or try to be his friend but I figure that I have already moved out of our home town and across the lake. Plus I’m going to college three hours away in two weeks so talking to him wouldn’t be a big deal because he can’t hurt me with his lies anymore. That was until I was texting him last night and he decided to inform me that he thinks I’m sexy and he*l and he wants to have sex with me, I told him that that didn’t make it ok for him to have sex with me then he says that he has ALWAYS liked me. He goes on to say that he did not just kiss me because we were friends and tells me that I just have the wrong image of him and he really is a good guy he just can’t control that he wants me. I then challenged him to try to control it and show me that he really is a good guy. Now, I’m sitting here thinking that maybe I do still like him, or at least I liked kissing him, and I would at least like to stay close to him and be his friend.
So my question is should I give him a second chance to at least be my friend or just leave well enough alone and walk away while my heart is still in tact?
walk away. he had many blown chances throughout the years–he blew them all. now, because he says you are sexy so therefore he wants to have sex with you, you are considering being friends? he just told you he wants to have sex–and you are confused already. leave–you will then be unemcumbered by relationships or anything as you begin your college life.
look, a good guy would be concerned about you–your moving away–your education. his primary goal should be what is best for you–NOT that he has discovered you are sexy and he hopes to use you. he is immature and a simple complication that you do not need. believe me, in college there will be many men who will find you sexy and want to sleep with you. the guy is offering the lowest common denominator. study and cultivate interests and a higher class of men will follow.
